Taste the ‘spirit’ of Mexico: Mezcal. A sustainable and conscious project.

Taste the ‘spirit’ of Mexico: Mezcal. A sustainable and conscious project.

Join us for a tasting of the original spirit of Mexico: Mezcal (not tequila!). Mezcal, made from many different types of agave (tequila is made only from one), is the smokier, more exciting cousin of tequila. It’s a high-proof spirit that should really be savoured, it’s no wonder the spirits market share is projected to grow nearly 15% in the next four years!

We’ll be tasting liquids from Mezcal Amores, an award winning Mezcal distillery whose primary goal is to be as sustainable as possible in everything they do, so the land, local communities and worldwide consumers all benefit from the production of their high-quality Mezcal. With 100% natural fermentation, their agave replanting program and their economic and social philosophy to work fairly with all agave farmers, these guys are championing the ethical production of spirits, and we’re lucky enough to be joined by a member of the Amores team for one evening!

Expect a Mezcal based cocktail on arrival and the chance to try a few award winning sipping Mezcals throughout the evening.

£10 per person (value of the ticket, excluding any third party booking fees, is redeemable against any purchases of those liquids being tasted on the evening).

Tickets can be booked in person at the shop or on Eventbrite.
